28 April 2008 Alina will join Steven Osborne & Alban Gerhardt for performances of the Ravel Trio and Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time in Brussels & at the Schwetzingen Festival on 08 & 10 May, replacing Lisa Batiashvili.

28 March 2008 Alina has been short-listed for a Royal Philharmonic Society award in the Young Artists category.

11 January 2008 Alina has just completed recording the two violin concertos by Nikolai Roslavets (1881-1944) with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ilan Volkov. The first concerto (1925) is polytonal, whilst the second (1936), following Roslavets period as a Soviet 'non-person' in Uzbekistan, is in D major. Alina's recording of the second concerto is the world premiere performance and the CD will be released by Hyperion Records in November 2008.

12 December 2007 Alina will perform with Cédric Tiberghien in a special broadcast of BBC Radio 3's In Tune live from the Radio Theatre in BBC Broadcasting House on 19 December.

15 October 2007 Alina recorded Huw Watkins' Partita for solo violin today for BBC Radio 3. It was commissioned for Alina's Wigmore Hall debut last November and has been shortlisted for the BBC Radio 3 Listeners' Award category of the British Composer Awards.

27 September 2007 Alina will take part, with the Britten Sinfonia, in an open rehearsal at City of London School For Girls tonight, as part of the Mayor of London's Open Rehearsal programme. A great chance to see how an orchestra and soloist prepare a concerto for performance.

01 September 2007 Alina's debut CD, the complete violin music of Karl Amadeus Hartmann, is released today by Hyperion Records. The CD includes the Concerto funebre, recorded with the Britten Sinfonia, co-lead by Alina and Jacqueline Shave. The remainder of the disc consists of Hartmann's often fiercely difficult solo violin works

17 July 2007 A review in today's Times by Geoff Brown, of Alina's recent recital with Cédric Tiberghien at the Cheltenham Festival, concludes "Both of these players have the potential to conquer the world". Geoff was one of the first to write about Alina; in his November 2000 review of the Yehudi Menuhin Memorial Concert in London, he wrote that "many players twice her age would be lucky to command her unforced strength and fullness of tone. We were putty in her hands from her very first notes"

01 June 2007 Alina has just recorded the two Bach violin concertos with the BBC Scottish Symphony, directed from the harpsichord by Nicholas Kraemer, for the cover CD of the September issue of the BBC Music Magazine

29 September 2006 Alina has been asked by the Sjaellands Symphony Orchestra to step-in at the last minute to perform KA Hartmann's Concerto Funèbre in four concerts next week! Luckily she performed the piece with the BBC Concert Orchestra on BBC Radio 3 on Monday.

24 August 2006 Alina recorded Bach's Partita No.2 in D minor especially for free download from this site. The recording was made at London's Wigmore Hall.
