Performing music from baroque to new commissions, Alina Ibragimova's recent engagements have included the BBC Proms, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony, Philharmonia, RSO Frankfurt, andKonzerthausorchester Berlin, with conductors including Sir Charles Mackerras, Richard Hickox and Osmo Vänskä. As soloist/director Alina has toured with the Kremerata Baltica, Britten Sinfonia and Australian Chamber Orchestra.

In recital and chamber music Alina performs regularly in venues including the Wigmore Hall,  Mozarteum Salzburg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and at festivals including Salzburg, Verbier, City of London, Lockenhaus, MDR Musiksommer, and Aldeburgh. This season Alina performed the complete Beethoven violin sonatas at the Wigmore Hall with her regular duo partner Cédric Tiberghien. Future engagements include the 2010 BBC Proms and Carnegie Hall, La Fenice, and Seattle Symphony debuts.

Born in Russia in 1985, Alina is a former pupil of the Moscow Gnesin and Yehudi Menuhin schools and the Royal College of Music London, where her teachers have included Natasha Boyarsky, Gordan Nikolitch and Christian Tetzlaff. She has been a member of the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme, recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust award and winner of a Classical BRIT.
